Indonesia’s footbal fever has been one of the most violent ones in the world.
In the past 25 years more than 70 people have been killed and thousands have been injured in football related riots.
The fact that Indonesia’s league players are escorted in armored vehicles loaded woth machine guns and on duty guards makes it even more unsettling.
The anger of the fans over poaaible match fixings and lack of player’s efforts have given rise to violent riots multiple times.
As the world cup approaches, the situation in Indonesia doesnot look that good.
