Australian cricket captain Steve Smith slammed on Twitter for supporting Glenn Maxwell
The decision to drop Maxwell was questioned after Chris Lynn was selected in the squad despite injury concerns.
Great win Australia. Well played @Gmaxi_32 top drawer!

The scrutiny became even greater after Lynn was forced out with a calf problem, but selectors still opted for another player in veteran Cameron White over Maxwell.
Australia would go on to be comprehensively beaten by England in the series 4-1, with many fans believing the popular Maxwell could have made a difference.
Smith’s show of support on Twitter was quickly met with derision by fans, with most of the 195 replies to his tweet all negative.
“I’m sorry but please train smarter to get in the T20 squad,” Aus cricket fans said (Smith was rested from the series after a gruelling summer).
Arpit Chawler tweeted: “With all due respect, a good time to eat your words. Or I might say train to speak sensible in the public as Australian Captain.”
Josh Metcalfe tweeted: “Reckon you should have picked him for the ODI’s? Good call skip.”
Richard Ross asked: “Smart enough yet?”
