Channel 9 commentary team rankings

With Australia’s summer of cricket coming to an end, fans can either rejoice or mourn over the fact that they will no longer be hearing from the Channel 9 commentary team.

They started all the way back in November with the Ashes, carried through the one-day series against England, and now are in the process of finishing the summer off with the T20 tri-series tournament against the Kiwis and England.

The cricketing community was generally more receptive to Channel 10’s coverage of the BBL.
Channel 9’s issue was the lack of diversity that sat in their commentary box.
They have a range of divisive characters in their realm, with the most polarising being Kevin Pietersen, Michael Clarke and Shane Warne.

But don’t forget the old stalwarts in Ian Chappell, Bill Lawry, Ian Healy and Mark Taylor.
