Super Over : Lahore Qalandars win thriller against Karachi Kings in PSL 2018

Sunil Narine proved why he is the world’s best T20 bowler when the cool-as-cucumber West Indian helped Lahore Qalandars beat Karachi Kings in the Super Over of the 3rd HBL Pakistan Super League at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
It was a cracker of a match with the pendulum swinging this way and that. Lahore needed 16 off the last over during the 20-over regulation match. And Sohail Akhtar almost turned hero with a six and a four off Usman Khan.
Needing three to win from the last ball Sohail went for a mighty heave but it was caught at long off. The Karachi Kings players and fans began their celebrations only for the umpires to call for a no-ball and the stadium went silent at the Karachi spectators end, while the Lahore fans started to breathe a sigh of relief.
Lahore needed two runs from the free-hit but could manage only one and that led to the Super Over which Lahore won to put Karachi’s progress on hold.
Karachi had a chance to go top of the standings had they won but they play Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United in their last two matches in Sharjah.
Lahore, who were already out of the reckoning for the eliminators, have to play Quetta and Zalmi.
This was the second Super Over match of this third edition of the PSL.
