Kings XI Punjab beat Kolkata Knight Riders by 9 wickets (D/L method)

Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) trashed Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by 9 wickets victory at Eden Gardens in match 18 of Vivo IPL 2018. KKR posted a good total of 191 after being put to bat. In a rain curtailed match the target was reduced to 125 in 13 overs. Chris Gayle (62*) and KL Rahul (60) gave a power start to KXIP and won it for them under 12 overs. With the knock Gayle achieved the Orange cap with 229 runs. Sunil Narine also went past Mayank Markande to get the purple cap with the same number of wickets but a better economy. With the win, KXIP topped the Points table with four wins.
