Kamran Akmal Guides Peshawar Zalmi to Win
Islamabad United won the toss against Peshawar Zalmi and decided to bowl first at the National Stadium, Karachi.
Batting first Peshawar Zalmi’s openers wasted no time, Kamran Akmal (74) and Imam ul-Haq (58) racing to 135-0 before Cameron Delport stepped up for Islamabad dismissing Imam Ul-Haq. Shortly after Delport removed Akmal to bring Peshawar back down to earth on 138-2.
Kieron Pollard added 36, plus 30* from Darren Sammy meant Peshawar Zalmi managed to reach 214-4.
In response, Chadwick Walton put on 48, unfortunately for Isalambad Hasan Ali (3-29) and Chris Jordan (3-26) dismantled the rest of the batting line-up leading Peshawar Zalmi to a 48 run victory.
