Chong Wei beats Srikanth to set up a match against Momota in ABC semi-finals

PETALING JAYA: Lee Chong Wei showed his recent win against K. Srikanth of India at the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast was not a fluke.
The 35-year-old Chong Wei pulled off another incredible show to beat top seed Srikanth 21-12, 21-15 in just 21 minutes in the men’s singles quarter-finals at the Asian Badminton Championships (ABC) in Wuhan, China on Friday.
Chong Wei defeated Srikanth in a epic final in Gold Coast two weeks ago to deliver a gold medal for Malaysia.
He will take on Japan’s Kento Momota for a place in the final.
Momota was in his element when he dumped Chou Tien-chen of Taiwan 21-5, 21-13 in 39 minutes.
